Casa Mourisca is an ideal holiday home for up to 8 persons.
The entire decoration of the house is in a boho chic style, with some Moorish influences in tribute to Silves’ ancient historical roots, from the Islamic period to the 13th century, when it was then called Xelb. There has been great attention to detail, using traditional elements such as handmade Portuguese hydraulic mosaics, Arabic tiles and carefully selected furniture.
The house can be rented in two different configurations: in its entirety, for the maximum occupancy of up to 10 people, or without the downstairs flat, for an occupancy of up to 6 people. Beyond its traditional blue entrance door, in the hallway are two doors leading to the lower floor or to the stairs leading to the first floor. The ground floor flat consists of a bedroom, bathroom with double hammam style shower, living room with kitchenette and a small patio.
Up the stairs on the first floor are two bedrooms, a shared bathroom with a large microcement bath with textured shower and cascading shower. Above this bathroom is a mezzanine with two single beds, which will delight the younger or more agile adventurers, as it is accessed by a ladder. The living room is large and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the garden and pool, which reminds us of Moroccan riads. The kitchen has a modern design, but at the same time incorporating traditional elements, such as the hydraulic mosaics. It is fully equipped, so that you can prepare and enjoy beautiful meals.
The master bedroom is located in one of the patios, with views over the luxuriant vegetation which the night lighting enhances and a beautiful swimming pool inspired by those of the riads. Chillout area, outdoor shower, different terraces with wooden decks, from where you can enjoy the wonderful climate and views of Silves, or simply enjoy a glass of good Portuguese wine at the end of the day or evening.
Behind the kitchen there is another almost secret courtyard where a long wooden table, protected by a pergola, surprises us and where we can enjoy pleasant meals in the open air, preparing a healthy grilled food on the American style gas grill.
Despite the care taken with the traditions and soul of the house, due attention has been paid to comfort and modern requirements. Comfortable beds, with good mattresses, good bed linen, bath towels, of superior quality from the best national textile factories, air conditioning in all bedrooms and living room, WiFi 500mbps, cable TV, Marshall sound system, vinotheque, gas BBQ, etc.
